What to have ready before you rent. Licence and age eligibility depends on your circumstances, so we confirm it for you when you enquire.
Requirements
Driver's licence
A current driver's licence. We'll confirm eligibility for your licence and age when you enquire.
Identification
Photo ID matching your licence, and proof of your current address if we ask for it. We photograph your licence at pickup and keep it securely with the agreement.
Refundable bond
The bond shown on the car is paid before or at pickup and refunded after the return inspection, less any deductions agreed under your signed terms.
Payment method
An accepted payment method for weekly rent, set up before pickup. We never take or store full card numbers or bank details ourselves; payments are handled by a third-party provider or an agreed method.
Insurance and excess
Cover and excess are explained in your agreement before you sign — ask us.
Signed agreement
You read and sign the rental agreement electronically at pickup. You receive your own copy. The agreement names every fee and is the document that governs the rental.
What to bring to pickup
- Your driver's licence
- A second form of photo ID if you have one
- The payment method agreed for rent and bond
- Any additional driver, with their licence, so they can sign too
- About 30 minutes for the licence check, condition report and signing
Things we will ask about
- How you intend to use the car (personal, commuting, business)
- Roughly how many kilometres a week you expect to drive
- Whether anyone else will drive the car
- Where the car will usually be parked overnight
